Order.co Virtual Card Program FAQs

  1. What is Order.co’s Virtual Card?

The Order.co Prepaid Mastercard® is issued by Patriot Bank, N.A., Member FDIC. This virutal card is linked to your Order.co account and allows you to spend your balance funds everywhere Mastercard is accepted.

  2. How does the Virtual Card work?

Order.co’s Virtual Card allows you to pay for purchases that would not be placed through your typical product catalog, while still benefiting from consolidated billing and analytics. For example, Virtual Cards are perfect for software and service vendors, Instacart and food orders, and so much more.

Once approved for the Virtual Card program, you can create new cards for each vendor and view all transactions directly in the Order.co app. Cards can be used for single transactions or for recurring payments. Please note that Virtual cards are vendor locked after the first transaction, so a single card cannot be used across vendors.
  3. How can I get an Order.co Virtual Card?

You can request access to the Order.co program for your company by contacting your account manager.  To get access to the card, your company may need to provide some identifying information, updated financials and sign our Cardholder Agreement before we can implement the Order.co Program. This information is necessary to help us and our bank partners fight money laundering and terrorism.

  4. Do I have a personal spending limit?

Order.co provides program-level limits depending on the financial standing of our customers as determined by both our internal and partner underwriting processes. This limit is the maximum that can be spent on the Order.co platform including on Virtual Card transactions. Once the limit has been utilized, you will need to pay down outstanding invoices to free up your available limit for additional transactions and/or Order.co platform purchases. This limit is visible to anyone on your company account with payment permissioning.

  5. Does it cost money to use the Order.co Virtual Card?

No, there are no additional costs to use Order.co’s virtual cards. We may charge other fees, such as a platform subscription or late fees, that are tied to your use of our broader services, and are outlined in our General Terms of Service (available at https://www.order.co/terms-and-conditions/).

  6. Is Order.co a Bank?

Order.co is not a bank.  We work with Patriot Bank, N.A. to offer you virtual cards.

  7. Where can I use Order.co’s Virtual Cards?

You can use your Order.co virtual card anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Please note that virtual cards are vendor-locked after the first transaction, so a single card cannot be used across multiple vendors. Also, at this time all transactions must be in US Dollars. Foreign currency transactions will be rejected.

  8. Can Order.co’s Virtual Cards be used to buy anything?

For the most part, yes, however, there are certain things that Virtual Cards cannot be used to purchase:
    1. THC products

    2. CBD products

For more details on Prohibited Use, please see our Cardholder Agreement.

  9. Why do I have to provide my or other individual’s personal information (including SSN) to access the Order.co Virtual Card program?

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies the beneficial owners of any company leveraging a card program. According to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, “A beneficial owner of a company is any individual who, directly or indirectly, exercises substantial control over a reporting company, or who owns or controls at least 25 percent of the ownership interests of a reporting company.” (Source: FinCEN “Beneficial Ownership Information Reporting FAQ”, website)

What this means for you: When your company requests access to the Order.co Virtual Card program, we will ask for the name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify the beneficial owners of your company to meet these regulatory requirements.

  10. My Order.co Virtual Card is stolen/incurring unidentified or unauthorized charges. What should I do?

For all customer support-related issues, Order.co users can contact us directly via email at support@order.co and on-platform support ticket submissions. Unauthorized charges and stolen cards should be reported immediately and are subject to the policy listed in our Cardholder Agreement.
